student Tom Blake... Need we say more? Tom had a problem
with the right rear wheel on his Pontiac GTO. The wheel
would "wobble" at speed. After the B period
class did an inspection it was determined that the balance
weights on the right rear brake drum interfered with the
mounting of the wheel. The solution? A new brake drum.
After waiting several weeks, the special order part arrived.
Like most special order parts, it was the wrong one. The
B and C period auto classes decided to take on the job
themselves by modifying Tom's original brake drum to clear
the offending wheel. After lots of grinding the parts
fit fine. Tom's back on the road without the wobble.
