Ramp Truck Car Hauler

During the late sixties to the early seventies it became more efficient to haul your racecar to the track on the back of a ramp truck rather than pulling it behind a pick up truck on a trailer. The ramp bed left room for storage compartments to carry all the tools and spare parts. This particular ramp truck was later converted to a tow truck and left to rust when it had served it’s time. It was donated to a College and eventually found its way to us at Gunn Auto Tech with a lot of persuasion from Mr. Camicia.

This is a long term project. We have been busy switching rusty body panels with better ones and repairing wiring. We will refinish the storage compartments and make it road worthy. Eventually we will paint it and use it to transport our many project vehicles to automotive events in style.
